The project aims to shed light on the plight of women political activists in Myanmar, particularly those who have faced detention, torture, and even lost their lives in the struggle against the 2021 coup d'état. Through the creation of a collection of portable portraits in the form of buttons/badges, the artist seeks to honor and recognize the heroism of these women. The collection will feature images of those who have been detained, those who sacrificed their lives in the early protest movements, leaders of the Myanmar Spring Revolution, and current activists in resistance.
